This modest undertaking on Mallorca centred around home staging - a process of preparing a residence for sale to enable potential buyers to envision themselves in the space, whether it be a villa, house, or apartment.
The task involved a compact section of a villa slated for sale, which additionally served as the backdrop for the series "Marcel Remus - Der Mallorca Makler und sein Immobilien Team“ featuring Bruce Darnell.
The objective was to cultivate a serene haven within a spacious room in a tight timeframe, requiring adaptation to the existing features of the home, such as wall hues and flooring.
Bruce Darnell thrives on challenges, making this project not straightforward for him and his crew, but nonetheless achievable. When the erstwhile supermodel gets to work, success follows.
Due to the cool tiles and white walls, the villa's room had a rather chilly atmosphere. To counteract this, Bruce Darnell introduced an assemblage of textures, fabrics, and wood to instil warmth through material use alone.
The new, fittingly sizable wooden table with block seats, alongside a sofa and armchair, now truly shine in their setting.
The staging was enhanced by incorporating a selection of design icons.
Art is Bruce Darnell's final flourish, vital to interior design. "It imparts a soul to the design. As an aficionado of art, I always have an array of rare pieces or emerging talents on hand that lend the finishing touches of sophistication," he remarks.
We were exceedingly pleased with the outcome - the initial coldness and emptiness of the room, transformed in mere hours into a welcoming space where one could happily sip champagne with friends in the cosy nook created by Bruce Darnell.
